The Far & Field Story

After meeting in 2019, Elizabeth and David (that’s me) set off on a wine adventure together. Since then, we’ve moved across the country, changed jobs more than once, adopted a cat, and taken on the small matter of renovating a Victorian house in Cornwall. Not quite the dreamy wine-filled journey we imagined, but that’s life—full of twists, turns, and the occasional self-inflicted challenge.

Amidst all the chaos (and cat ownership), we continued to grow our wine knowledge in both London and Cornwall, each completing our WSET Level 3 in Wines. Along the way, we also fell in love with English and UK wines—their exciting, experimental approaches paired beautifully with the time-honoured traditions of continental sparkling styles.

Now, we’re bringing all of that passion together in Far & Field, our small business based in South East Cornwall. Our aim is to share the world of wine in a way that feels inclusive, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. Here in Cornwall we have been welcomed warmly, and the people’s pride, heritage, and sense of community have truly inspired this new chapter.
